The Landscape

Developing AI models in the NHS relies on three key components: data, a robust machine learning environment, and a quality management system (QMS) to ensure patient safety. We use XNAT, our data warehousing platform, to seamlessly retrieve and manage structured imaging data from clinical systems. Machine learning workflows are powered by MLOps, providing an automated, structured, and logged framework for AI development. Guided by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within our QMS, we prioritize safety and compliance throughout the design process.
